Pakistan offers a wide range of trekking trails for all types of adventure lovers. There are countless untrodden paths, some of which have few hikers. There are many options for both easy and challenging hiking expeditions in Pakistan’s Hindu Kush, one of the less travelled mountain ranges. The trip from Ishkoman to the settlement of Darkot through Attar Pass is straightforward but interesting. You can approach the walk from either direction, either from Ishkoman to Darkot or from Darkot to Ishkoman over attar pass. The journey from Ishkoman begins in the little settlement of Ghutolti, which has 65 to 70 homes. The valley is perfect for thrill seekers who try lesser peaks higher than 6000 metres.

Beautiful wild flowers and snow-capped mountains surround the lake. In Yasin Valley’s Darkot Village, the trek comes to a conclusion. The same route can be taken to return to Islamabad via Chitral or Gilgit. Kailash Valley and Swat can also be explored by utilising the Chitral route.
